Cardiac emergencies do not follow a schedule, and they do not respect city limits. For Santa Maria Capua Vetere — a historic municipality in the Campania region of southern Italy — the question was never whether to invest in cardioprotection, but how to do it properly. The city's answer: a fully connected AED network, built with care, built to last, and built in close collaboration with Auexde.

The project covers all municipal offices and civic buildings, the city's Teatro Garibaldi, a number of local pharmacies, and several other central locations across the city. 13 Rotaid AED cabinets are now active and connected. The ambition goes further: within the coming year, the city plans to bring all privately and publicly owned AEDs on its territory — including those in schools — into a single integrated network, mapped and monitored in real time.

A key feature of the installation is the telecontrol system built into each Rotaid cabinet. When a cabinet is opened, an alert is sent immediately to designated contacts by phone and email. If the AED is removed, a second alert follows. When it is returned to its housing, a confirmation alert closes the loop — guaranteeing continuous coverage at every location, around the clock.
