Avarn Security, the CPR consultant and Rotaid collaborate to heart-safe Sweden

Avarn Security, the CPR consultant and Rotaid have joined forces in an important collaboration to heart-safe businesses around the country. By connecting defibrillators to Avarn Security's alarm center, continuous monitoring is enabled - a safety measure for both companies and the public.

The collaboration began just over a year ago and is based on statistics from the CPR consultant that show a great need for improved routines:

• In 2024, 4,825 events were reported to the CPR registry, which is the basis for the 13% survival rate. However, there are far more cases than are reported to the registry, the figure of 10,000 is an estimate and comes from the Swedish Heart and Lung Foundation.
• Based on our own analyses and experiences from European markets, the assessment is that up to 30% of the country's defibrillators may be out of order and thus risk not functioning in an emergency situation.
• Of 24,000 registered defibrillators, only 20% are available after business hours.
• With the help of more available and functioning defibrillators, we can save more lives.
• Many people want a defibrillator – but few want to take responsibility for making sure it works

Now a solution is presented: an alarmed cabinet from Rotaid, equipped with a defibrillator, which can be placed both indoors and outdoors in a Nordic climate. The cabinet and defibrillator are monitored 24/7 by Avarn Security's alarm center and maintained by security personnel - always ready to save lives.
