BCC Fano: A Heart Safe Bank
In a groundbreaking move to enhance community safety, BCC Fano has successfully completed the installation of 18 automated external defibrillators (AEDs) across its branches in the provinces of Pesaro Urbino and Ancona. This innovative project, initiated in July 2023, aims to equip the community with the tools necessary to respond to cardiac emergencies.
A Community Lifeline
Each BCC branch now houses a life-saving station, easily accessible to the public 24/7. The AEDs, connected to a 4G network for remote monitoring, are housed in Rotaid 247 cabinets and can be quickly accessed in case of a cardiac arrest. Over 150 employees and customers have been trained in CPR and AED use, ensuring that help is readily available when needed.

Inspired by Statistics
The idea for this project was born from the stark reality of cardiac arrest statistics. In Italy alone, an estimated 60,000 people suffer cardiac arrest each year. Without immediate intervention, the brain can suffer irreparable damage. By installing AEDs in strategic locations, BCC Fano is helping to bridge the gap between a cardiac arrest and the arrival of emergency medical services.
A Model for Others
BCC Fano's initiative is a testament to the power of corporate social responsibility. The bank has not only equipped its branches with life-saving technology but has also provided essential training to its employees and customers. This comprehensive approach has created a network of potential lifesavers throughout the region.
