Poland Launches Nationwide First Responder Program
A groundbreaking initiative aimed at enhancing public safety has been launched in Poland. The nationwide "First Responder" program, organized by the Polish Volunteer Fire Service Association (ZOSP RP), was unveiled at a recent press conference in the Senate.
The program, a key component of the "Florian 2050" strategy, focuses on empowering ordinary citizens to provide immediate medical assistance in emergency situations. By strengthening the first link in the chain of survival, the initiative aims to increase the chances of saving lives.
The conference highlighted the program's core components, including the "1R Academy," digital solutions, and legislative changes. Attendees also discussed the significance of corporate social responsibility and expressed gratitude to the program's partners.
Waldemar Pawlak, President of ZOSP RP, emphasized the program's critical role in public safety. Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz expressed strong support, stating, "A safe Poland is impossible without public awareness and a prepared society." He further emphasized the importance of the volunteer fire service in achieving this goal.
"A First Responder is a prepared, trained individual who reacts quickly," said the Deputy Prime Minister. "The app and digitalization ensure that information about the need for assistance and confirmation of the rescuer's presence is a matter of seconds."
Other distinguished guests, including deputy head of the National Security Bureau, the head of the LPR Mobile Medical Security Group, and the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, also expressed their strong support for the initiative.
